The Indianola Historical Society has a blacksmith shop on-site where we host demonstrations, classes, and conferences.

Our last clinic was August 6-8, 2026, with visiting blacksmith Dan Brockman. Two Beginner Blacksmith classes and one open demonstration were held.

We had 5 participants and multiple spectators at Thursday evening’s inaugural Beginner Blacksmith class, taught by Dan Brockman.
